Here's some notes that I found compelling/questioned:
• Opposition and to stop listening to someone is a part of the seed of evil
• “Finite players play for immortality” doesn’t the infinite player obtain immortality because they “live for the play of others”?
• Ideology can be evil because it silences voices
• “Evil is never intended as evil. Indeed, the contradiction inherent in all evil is that it originates in the desire to eliminate evil.”
• The seed of evil is wanting to change others because you think they’re wrong
• “Infinite players do not attempt to eliminate evil in others, for to do so is the very impulse of evil itself, therefore a contradiction. They only attempt to paradoxically recognize in themselves the evil that takes the form of attempting to eliminate evil elsewhere”
Some things I disagree with:
• Everyone has choice, no matter if they’re an infinite player or not
• How can it be evil for one to fight to be seen as who they are? How does evil play into uncontrollable biological factors?
Hi Morgan,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'm wondering if you can elaborate on your two arguments. If you don't agree that everyone has choice, in what respect do you experience this? Similarly, what do you mean by "fight to be seen as who they are." A more detailed question will allow me to elaborate on the philosophy.
